{"id":1990,"date":"2017-03-17T08:35:08","date_gmt":"2017-03-17T08:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caballero.es\/?p=1990"},"modified":"2020-11-30T05:55:07","modified_gmt":"2020-11-30T05:55:07","slug":"caballero-wines-stand-out-in-the-prestigious-bacchus-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caballero.es\/en\/news\/caballero-wines-stand-out-in-the-prestigious-bacchus-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Caballero wines stand out in the prestigious Bacchus 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Madrid, March 15th\u00a02017<\/em>.\u00a0 Yesterday the results of the 15<sup>th<\/sup> Edition of the prestigious wine competition <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uec.es\/bacchus\/index.php\/en\/\">Bacchus Awards 2017<\/a> were announced and once again the wines of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caballero.es\/en\">Luis Caballero Group<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lustau.es\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bodegas Lustau<\/a> proved to shine on their own merit.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lustau Oloroso VORS<\/em> has been awarded the <em>Grand Gold Bacchus<\/em>. This distinction places Lustau\u2019s 30 year-old Oloroso in the competition\u2019s roll of honor, where only 18 wines of the 1,751 judged during the present edition, have entered.<\/p>\n<p>The other award-winning wines from Luis Caballero Group are:<\/p>\n<p>Lustau Pedro Xim\u00e9nez VOS and <a href=\"https:\/\/caballero.es\/products\/marques-de-irun-eng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marqu\u00e9s de Ir\u00fan Verdejo 2016<\/a>, both awarded gold medals, while Lustau Palo Cortado VORS and <a href=\"https:\/\/caballero.es\/products\/la-ina-eng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fino La Ina<\/a> obtained a silver medal.<\/p>\n<p>The Bacchus Awards, organized by the Spanish Wine Tasters\u2019 Union (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uec.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UEC- Uni\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Catadores<\/a>), is the most prestigious international wine contest held in Spain. The jury, formed by 85 members, has 15 Master of Wine among them.
