Lustau launches its new Vermut Dry, the ultimate ingredient for mixology

Lustau’s Vermut Dry, crafted with Manzanilla sherry aged in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, is the ideal choice to the finest cocktails.

Lustau Vermut Dry joins the range of unrivaled vermouths that the brand initiated in 2015, when it introduced its Lustau Vermut Rojo, the first modern day vermouth made with Sherry wine. Soon after accompanied by Vermut Blanco and Vermut Rosé. As of this October, the range is completed with the launch of the new Lustau Vermut Dry. The base wines of each of these vermouths are a major differentiator in terms of quality when compared to other vermouths in the market. The Vermut range celebrates numerous awards and recognitions that highlight Lustau’s excellence, quality, and commitment to crafting Sherry wine.

Lustau Vermut Dry has been crafted by Fernando Pérez (Lustau Master Blender and a member of the Quality Control Panel of the Sherry Regulatory Council); with the collaboration of Sergio Martínez (Lustau Cellar Master and five-time World’s Best Fortified Winemaker according to International Wine Challenge). Additionally, some of the best mixologists in the United States have been involved in the development of this very special vermouth, considering its great interest to the world of mixology.

The new Lustau Vermut Dry adds a salty and umami touch to cocktails, enhancing the flavors and helping balance sweetness and acidity. It is the ideal ingredient for classic cocktails such Martinis and signature creations full of savory umami notes.

Lustau Vermut Dry is crafted with Manzanilla aged in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a bone dry, fresh, and crisp sherry. It boasts a bright yellow color with golden reflections.  On the nose it shows profound herbaceous notes and a subtle citrussy trace that enhances a “flor” background. It is dry, fresh, and slightly briny, full of sea breeze scents and nutty hints. Bitter and clean with a long, crisp, and refreshing aftertaste.

Artisanal skills and commitment to quality stand out in the crafting process of Lustau’s Vermut Dry. As a result, this new vermouth shows the essence of Sherry wine and its potential for cocktail making.

Lustau Vermut Dry rated 92 points in Peñín Guide – Spain’s leading wine guide and will be featured in the Best Vermouths Showroom in Madrid next November, the major exhibition for awarded products within vermouth category.
