Sergio Martínez, awarded the title of Best Fortified Winemaker of the Year in July, is now also honored as the Best Spanish Winemaker at the IWC Wine Challenge Merchant Awards Spain 2017.
Jerez (Spain). July 17th, 2017. Sergio Martínez, Cellar Master at Bodegas Lustau was named Best Spanish Winemaker at the prestigious International Wine Challenge Merchant Awards Spain celebrated in Madrid. This new recognition is added to the title of Best Fortified Winemaker received earlier.
After more than 14 years at the House of Lustau in 2016 Sergio began to lead the winery’s oenological team. Upon receiving the award, he stated “I am proud to be part of this team, this
prize recognizes every one of us working at Lustau”.

This award highlights the array of exceptional accolades obtained by Lustau this year with 80 medals, including 21 Golds, Lustau is the most awarded Sherry producer.
