Jerez, April 10th 2017. Bodegas Lustau has just released the Spring 2017 edition of 3 en Rama sherries. Three biologically aged wines coming from each of the three towns that form the Sherry area: a Fino from Jerez de la Frontera, a Manzanilla from Sanlúcar de Barrameda and a Fino from El Puerto de Santa María.
Wines bottled straight from the cask with no additional treatment. That is En Rama style, considered the purest expression of Sherry.
The selection and bottling of these wines takes place in spring, when the layer of living yeast or flor reaches its zenith. Sherry’s natural character is fully maintained and the resulting wine is one of great personality.
With Spring 2017 3 en rama range the aim is to show and emphasize the influence of the local microclimate on the character of each wine. This collection is the best expression of each city’s style: a fresh, complex and fruity Manzanilla from Sanlúcar; a dry, mineral and nutty Fino from Jerez and a marine, bitter and mouth-filling Fino del Puerto.
Three wines, three cities, three personalities. A limited edition by Lustau, the only house in Jerez-Xérès-Sherry D.O. with ageing wineries in the three cities.
